With their sixth birthday approaching, Youtube have announced the latest viewing figures, which are pretty mind bogglingly huge. The top video destination in the world says that worldwide video views have grown 50% in just the last year, hitting a massive 3 billion views every day.

They also revealed that uploading of video has increased by over a third within the last six months.Or in a way to blow your mind further, the figures are the equivalent of “nearly half the world’s population watching a YouTube video each day,” or to put another way, “each US resident watching at least nine videos a day.”

The video site said in a blog post announcing the news:- “For the last six years we’ve grown and evolved in our quest to push video forward and deliver the best possible experience to you.”
