SeeSaw May Be Brought Out By Bebo Owners

SeeSaw, the online TV aggregator owned by Arqiva was supposed to shut down yesterday. However, the site remains live and it looks like it may have a new owner. And it seems that Bebo owners, Criterion Capital Partners are in negotiations to buy the catch-up TV site.

The news reported in the Telegraph says that chief exec of Criterion, Adam Levine is in the UK negotiating with Arquiva. If finalised, SeeSaw may be transformed into a European digital film and TV service.


SeeSaw which aggregates UK TV content was launched just over a year ago, and has been looking for investors to keep the company afloat.


The Telegraph cites a source as saying, “Criterion are close to signing the deal to acquire SeeSaw. It’s a good opportunity for them to access the lucrative online TV and film market, which Arqiva have been unable to crack.”


The deal is hoped to be wrapped up before June 30th.
