A new report claims that almost a quarter (24%) of US homes have a television that has an internet connection. This is not an invasion of internet connected television sets though, but people have a variety of devices hooked up to the tv that have internet connection abilities.
The report from the Leichtman Research Group (LRG) looked at ways consumers connect to the Internet, and found that there are many devices that include Blu-ray players, games consoles and even the increasingly popular internet connected tv’s. Although the internet connectivity of these devices has been around for a while, it is only now that users are starting to make use of this feature and watching video from the web. In fact streaming movies direct to blu-ray is becoming very popular.
